Lupole started playing music at 13 years old. My big influence came when the Beatles came onto the scene. My parents bought me my first guitar and I started teaching myself to play. From then on, I never looked back. I started playing at the family church as well as started working on writing my own music.

In February 1971 Larry began hearing a different tune "You're in the army now". But one night while jamming in the billets with some of the other GI's Davy Cuypers heard Larry and introduced Larry to Ernie Prewitt who wanted to become Larry's manager. Prewitt was instrumental in getting Larry's duties changed to Special Services. While in the service at Kaiserslautern Germany in 1972, Larry performed for Special Services doing several one night stands

After the service, Larry Married Jeanette Alkins who he met in Germany while in the service. They formed a duo which play at local clubs and weddings. There was no shortage of work. We were very busy. Larry and Jeanette recorded a 45 record of two of Larry's songs. But while working on the vinyl version of Classic Fantasy, Larry and Jeanette's marriage broke up. I was able to finish the record pressings but not until 1985.

In 1985 Larry founded Ice Records, inc. Ice was an acronym for "Incredible Creative Endeavors" Ice Records, inc. became the Corporate umbrella over Larry's music businesses which encompassed Larry Gene Music BMI, J-Paul Music ascap, Ice Artist management and Horizon Productions. Today, Larry's wife Kathleen operates Larry Gene Music with it's records division under her umbrella company KG LUPOLE LLC. Kathleen re-released Classic Fantasy in 2002 on CD format. We are working on an other CD of Larry's songs which has an undisclosed release date said Kathleen.
