In fact I have left them on one mandolin I play at church so long that the wrap on the G & D strings are smooth and still sound very good.I realy like the med gage M1140PB the best because with a 1.5 or larger pick trimalow is so easy and sounds great.I teach mandolin and have got many others to switch to SIT strings. Dollar for dollar, sound for sound, quality for quality ,tone for tone, on top of the fact they don't have to be changed very often.I will use them as long as I can find them. And LARRY GENE MUSIC is the best place to get them,Not only are they reasonable but how can you beat free shipping and on top of that!! take note. I placed and order early in the day on Sat and received it on monday before 1pm.that was from NY_to KY. Love the SITstrings and Larry Gene Music.
